Our NIB version of the Strawberry Shortcake doll is licensed by The Bridge Direct ©2017. Her design is based upon the original 1980 vinyl concept. This little doll spent her earliest years on the front of greeting cards. Her original designs were by illustrator Barbi Sargent who worked as a freelance, contracted artist for American Greetings.
The back of the box above reads: "Strawberry Shortcake is the little girl with big possibilities from childhoods past and present. For collectors and new fans alike, her sunny and optimistic personality make Strawberry Shortcake the perfect forever friend! These special reproductions of the original dolls from the 1980s include all the original details from hats to shoes - including their berry sweet scents!"

This sweet strawberry scented doll stands 5 1/2 inches tall from the bottom of the soles of her shoes to the top of her vinyl head. Her hair is red like strawberries and her facial features innocent. This doll sports green and white striped leggings along with a long sleeved frock with patchwork squares printed on the front. The embroidery decal of a strawberry garnishes the top of her strawberry printed cap.
