My Little Vintage Magis Doll

        Vintage Magis dolls or Eros costume dolls from Italy, approximately 7.5 " to 11" tall, dressed in traditional Italian folk costume, masks and some fabric body parts are reminiscent of Lenci dolls. The doll company, Magis, produced and sold these tiny figures as early as the 1920s to tourists.

Left, you can see her braided pigtails without the head covering. Center vestment details.

Right the doll's leg joints on the side of her hips are still very tight
for a doll approximately 80 years old.

Left, her ruffled collar and puff sleeves are made from the same delicate fabric. and her
 headscarf is fashioned from felt.  You can see the detailed painting on her face.
Right a closeup of her ribbon skirt in yellow, blue and red. She wears black plastic shoes.
