Television's Mrs. Beasley Doll

TV's Mrs Beasley from Sears.
"Mrs. Beasley just loves little girls, and they love everything about her-the nice things she says when you pull her talking ring, her soft cloth body dressed in it's removable polka dot apron, her kind vinyl face with its big painted eyes and "granny-style" glasses, and her rooted hair you can comb. 22 inches tall." The largest Mrs. Beasley doll sold for $10.99 from Sears in 1969.
This unique doll was the best friend of the television sitcom child, Jody, in The "Family Affair." Read more about the show below.

Georgia Schmidt, an American actress of German descent, was the original voice of the Mrs. Beasley doll made by Mattel. She is probably best known as playing the first Talosian alien in the first episode of the original Star Trek series titled "The Cage", later aired as "The Menagerie" in 1966.

  1. It would be such fun to play jump rope, don't you think?"
  2. Long ago I was a little girl just like you!
  3. I do think you're the nicest little friend I ever had.
  4. If you could have three wishes, what would you wish for?
  5. Do you want to hear a secret? I know one.
  6. Speak a little louder dear, so Mrs.Beasley can hear you.
  7. You may call me Mrs. Beasley. Would you like to play?
  8. Would you like to try on my glasses? You may if you wish.
  9. If you were a little smaller, I could rock you to sleep.
  10. Gracious me, you're getting to be such a big girl!

Jody is right, at the bottom.
Family Affair is an American sitcom that aired on CBS from September 12, 1966, to March 4, 1971. The series explored the trials of well-to-do engineer and bachelor Bill Davis (Brian Keith) as he attempted to raise his brother's orphaned children in his luxury New York City apartment. Davis's traditional English gentleman's gentleman, Mr. Giles French (Sebastian Cabot), also had adjustments to make as he became saddled with the responsibility of caring for 15-year-old Cissy (Kathy Garver) and the five-year-old twins, Jody (Johnny Whitaker) and Buffy (Anissa Jones).
