Back-To-School Fashions in 1969 for little girls

In 1969 Back-To-School fashions were all about comfort and bold designs for young students. The pant dress or two-piece sets sewn from double knit polyester, corduroy and stretchy comfortable knits were all the rage. Little school girls wore their hair short in pigtials or curls upwards in a simple flip at the ends only.

Bold solid colors, wide stripes and checkered prints were very popular.

Wide cowl necks and pockets on the knit blouses were common.

Mother's wanted 'wash and wear' clothing that didn't need to be ironed.

Penny loafers were trendy shoes, these came in black and brown for Winter.
