The Pumpkin House

The pumpkin is small but not so small that it would be difficult to carve. Natalie used an old pie tin
filled with sand to create a solid foundation for this Autumn retreat.

I thought our readers might enjoy seeing one of our most recent pumpkin carvings for Fall of 2021. This charming little house was carved by my oldest daughter for Halloween visitors of the miniature variety. There is a open door for a candle and two windows for little people to look out into the spooky night from a secure location!

Sweet gum balls add color, texture and whimsy to our Halloween pumpkin scene. Right, twigs
make sturdy window panes.

Left, a few silk petals and an acorn trim decorate the lid to the jack-o-lantern. Right, small rocks,
sand and wood are used to shape a natural "patio"

Pumpkins Will Shine Tonight

Pumpkins will shine tonight!
Pumpkins with shine!
Pumpkins will shine tonight,
Won't that be fine?
Pumpkins will shine tonight,
On Hallowe'en.
Mid cats and bats and spooky things,
Pumpkins will shine!
