WELCOME to Your Birthday,
Merry, bright and new!
Here's what I am wishing
It shall bring to you.
It will show you plainly,
So you'll know it's true,
That dear God in Heaven
Loves and blesses you.
It must make you happy,
Healthy, good, and strong.
It must bring you laughter,
Love, and friends, and song.
It must give you presents-
Every blessed thing,
That a Happy Birthday
Really ought to bring.
So, my dear, keep growing
All the years you live
With all sorts of blessing
Birthday days must give.
Last of all I promise
That my heart will send
True love to you always
Lovingly your friend.
