What The Insects Are Thankful For

Centipede
"My children have so many feet,
That I from blessings choose
The fact I never have to buy
Them fifty pair of shoes."
Katydid
"Because I'm not an elephant,
To make an awful noise
And frighten into fits my friends,
The little girls and boys."
Granddady Long Legs
"Because my body is so light,
And legs so very long,
That they can travel where they please,
and body take along."
Cricket
"Because I never contradict,
As katydids oft do,
And so I'm welcome to the hearth,
To sweetly chirp for you."
Yes, We Are Thankful
