The original dollhouse was first published by the
Bauer Media Group in 1960
(Australian Women's Weekly) and has since been posted at several archives for the public to read freely and create. (
The Internet Archive and also at the
National Library of Australia) It was designed by Andrew Waugh and the photographs shown here are also by him. He gave easy-to-follow instructions and made the dollhouse out of plywood and hardboard. The roof was made from striated plastic.
