Make a Magician's Top Hat SWAPS

This rabbit in a magician's hat is a scout SWAPS for positive attitude - theme "Abracadabra!"
To make this magic SWAPS you will need the following supplies: tacky white glue, a narrow cardboard tube, scrap cardboard, black, pink and white acrylic paints, white cotton balls, white chenille stems, two long beads (for teeth), one long toothpick (wand), hot pink felt scrap and a pair of pink google eyes.
Cut the cardboard tube to the length you would like your top hat to be. Hold it on top of the scrap cardboard and measure approx. 1/2" from the center around the tube, also trace directly around the tube for the opening. This will be the brim of your top hat; cut it out and also poke a hot in it's center to remove the opening carefully. Glue the brim of the hat to the tube and set it aside to dry completely.
Paint the cardboard top hat using black acrylic paint. Cut a narrow piece of hot pink felt and glue this just above the brim. You could use ribbon for this alternatively if you do not have any felt.
Cut the tip off of the toothpick and paint the larger half of this black and the end piece white. Let the paint dry and then glue it to the outside portion of the top hat. (see photos above)
Now stuff the inside of the top hat with cotton balls. Bend the chenille stems into rabbit ears and stuff these inside the hat using a generous glop of glue.
Unravel more white cotton and wrap it around and between the rabbit ears to shape a head. Glue on the google eyes. Roll more cotton between your finger tips with glue to make a nose and two cheeks for the magic rabbit. Glue these on and then attach two long beads for buck teeth.
Apply pale pink paint to the nose for color. Wrap a little white cotton around the chenille stem ears with glue.
