The vase on the left is for 18" dolls, the vase on right is for our Barbie dolls. Tiny vases like these make sweet SWAPS for friends you make at camp. |
These miniature flower vases for dolls are sew easy to assemble. I made one using a wooden spool and scrapbook paper. Just measure the length and width of the spool you wish to cover with decorative paper and glue it onto the spool. You can measure the length by wrapping a string around the spool and clipping this when the two ends overlap slightly. Now position that same length of string over a ruler and it will show you how much paper is necessary to wrap around the spool. After you glue the right amount of paper onto the wooden vase, brush on a little Mod Podge to seal the surface. Glue a small silk flower into the hole of the spool.
To make an even smaller vase, glue a tiny flower inside the hole of a long narrow bead. This size should be perfect inside any miniature or playscale doll house.
