I used recycled masking tape dispensers, felt, pom-poms, beads, chenille stems and a hot glue gun to assemble these fun little cakes for our 18'' doll parties. This is such an easy craft to do!

First cover the tape roll, or alternatively a lid if you like, with felt. I chose brown felt for the chocolate cake and white for the red velvet cake. Red velvet although red inside is usually iced with vanilla or cream cheese frostings which are white or pale buttercream colored. I used a glue gun for this process. Afterwards I then hot glued pom-poms on top of each cake in a pleasing pattern. Children will need adult supervision for this craft because of this use of a hot glue gun.
