The Daffodil: It's Poems and Fashions

 Eager little Daffodil
Came too soon and got a chill;
Jack Frost pinched her ear and said,
"Silly child, go back to bed."

Assemble a mini doll sized book: Right, is the Daffodil's illustration and verse. Visitors can collect all the flower illustrations and verse from "Flower Children" to print and construct a small book of verse for their dolls. Simply drag each png. into a Word Document, print, cut out all of the images the same size and staple the pages together at the left edge. Squeeze out some white school glue along the stapled edge of the pages and attach a cardboard cover.

The scientific name for Daffodil is Narcissus pseudonarcissus. Read more about this flower here.

More Daffodils To Cut:

More Daffodils To Color:

 Daffodils I.
Fair Daffodils, we weep to see
You haste away so soon;
As yet the early-rising sun
Has not attained his noon:
Stay, stay,
Until the hastening day
Has run
But to the even song,
And, having prayed together, we
Will go with you along.

II.
We have short time to stay as ye,
We have as fleet a spring,
As quick a growth to meet decay
As you or anything:
We die
As your hours do, and dry
Away,
Like to the summer's rain,
Or as the pearls of morning's dew,
Ne'er to be found again.
Herrick.
